ExperienceMy teaching philosophy is to build upon my students' basic knowledge of the subjects and allow them to grasp the topic rather than just memorize, which is how they teach students in most public schools. That is why I do not teach students what to think, but how to think, because then they can apply their knowledge to real life problems. I tutor elementary school kids in Science with a Professor from the Chemistry department. I also tutor high school students in Algebra 1. My favorite courses to tutor students in are Math and Science. In 2013, I graduated from Watkins Mill High School holding an IB Diploma. I am attending University of Maryland's Honors College studying in Physiology, Neurobiology, and Mathematics. When you don't catch me tutoring, I enjoy watching television, cooking, hiking, swimming, and even exercising. I also work for campaigns such as stopping the overuse of antibiotics and decreasing the pollution in Maryland waters. It seems as if I am a good tutor and a communicator, and I am beyond capable of teaching students how to analytically think about all subjects.
