I am a tutor who excels in science. As a microbiologist, I am most passionate about tutoring students in microbiology, but I'm also available to help students with biology, anatomy, physiology, and life science. I have loved science my entire life. I began pursuing a career in science at Talladega College, where I earned my degree in Biology. After completing my undergraduate studies I enrolled in Howard University where I received a Doctor Of Philosophy in Biology with a focus on Nanotechnology and Microbiology. During my time at graduate school I taught several scientific courses including pathogenic bacteriology, food microbiology, and general microbiology. I'm now working with the University of Maryland as the lead researcher of a USDA sponsored examination of microbiology and food safety. I've learned that every student has their own perspective and their own approach to learning. As a tutor I listen to my students and assess what their approach is so that I can tailor my lessons to their learning style. I want to share my passion for science with every student that I teach. In my free time I enjoy playing sports like volleyball and kickball. I also enjoy games, cooking, going shopping, and perusing Netflix.
