EducationI graduated as a first generation college student from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. During my time at UofM, I completed the Residential College intensive Spanish language program, participated and volunteered frequently in the Society of Women Engineers, held a leadership position within the University's Residential Dining Services, and published a paper in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association alongside David Hanauer.
ExperienceI have had previous tutoring experience in Algebra I, Algebra II, Calculus I, Calculus II, Pre-Calculus, C++, Elementary Programming Concepts, Programming & Introductory Data Structures, Python, Java, and Spanish. I began tutoring in high school by teaching Spanish to a friend and math to a college student. Since then, I have tutored several students, mostly in Calculus I and EECS 183. Two of my Calculus I students went from having D's in the class to earning a B+ and an A on their final exams. I am experienced at teaching in many different ways depending on a student's learning style. This helps me to determine how I may assist each student in the best way possible.
HobbiesI enjoy traveling to new places and meeting new people, so in my free time I can usually be found exploring new cities, going for walks, or attending local concerts. I also enjoy being a couch potato from time to time which generally involves playing video games, reading the news, or binge watching a tv show on Netflix.
